Requesting Live Animal Traps

For nuisance wildlife (i.e., raccoons or squirrels in an attic) Animal Control makes available humane live animal traps. Persons interested in using one of our traps may be required to place a security deposit of $25 down (check only, no cash).

If you are a resident of the City of Bowie, Animal Control will deliver and setup the trap. Traps are allowed to be rented for two week periods. If an animal is caught in a trap, immediately call for a pick up at 940-872-2251. Place the trap out of direct sunlight (for those hot summer days) or cover the trap with a blanket (for those cold winter days); an animal control officer will pick up the trap and replace it with an empty trap if needed and available.
