The Bowie knife sculpture is a unique aspect of the community that welcomes visitors at the south entry to town.  In April 2016 the sculpture earned the Guinness World Record for the World's Largest Bowie Knife, a distinction that has yet to be surpassed.  The knife has become a popular photo stop for visitors driving through town. The knife has a QR code linking visitors with an online digital guestbook where they can sign in and even add their own knife photos.
